My New Willow Glen Listing | 684 Willow Street, San Jose

If you’ve never heard of Willow Glen, I’ll sum it up for you in one word—charming. You will hear this word time and again if you’re ever looking at properties in this area. Residents of Willow Glen take pride in its historic and family-friendly neighborhood evidenced by their well-manicured gardens and beautifully restored Victorian and craftsman homes. On a walk down Lincoln Avenue, you will notice placards describing the town’s fascinating history from the early 1900s. Every now and then, you might spot a vehicle or two with WG decals and license plate frames representative of their fondness for this neighborhood.

684 Willow Street, in particular, is a home that I hold near and dear to my heart. It reminds me of my more youthful days when my friends and I were young professionals just starting out and carefree. And, one by one, we were growing up—evolving into homeowners. The seller of this home was one of the first in my circle of friends to take the leap into home ownership and we celebrated this significant milestone with paint parties and were markedly rewarded with pizza! Here I am, earning my pizza 7 years ago. ↓

This was a home where my friends and I congregated, celebrated holidays together, and traded stories.

I remember one particular day when I was homesick on a business trip in China. It was Thanksgiving Day, and my friends connected with me via google video chat (because that’s how we rolled back then). They set me (the laptop) on the dinner table so that I could remotely join in on the fun. I was essentially watching everyone eat the most delicious-looking food ever because it was 2am where I was. Yet, I felt right at home 6,000 miles away. I will never forget that special day when I remotely spent Thanksgiving Day at 684 Willow Street with my best friends.

Countless happy memories have been made in this well-maintained and lovingly cared for residence. It is so much more than its double sink vanity, granite countertops, and attached 2-car garage. It’s a home that brings family and friends together and a remarkable place to be. Come by the open house this weekend so that you can see for yourself.

I thought I’d leave you with a very fitting song of my feeling toward this house. 🙂 ↓
